We were fortunate to have Dr Valerie Wigfall from the Coram Foundation in London researching the programme and its outcomes.

Dr Wigfall attended many of the Supported Breaks and at the end of the week evaluated and monitored the family’s response to the experience, including the children. She was involved in following up the families once they returned home and wrote a Report about her findings which is both positive and inspiring.

In her Summary Report Dr Wigfall states: 'the supported family breaks programme has contributed to the prevention of family breakdown and the promotion of social inclusion’
